Wrinkles, Ageing & Mature Skin

Ageing of skin results from the deterioration of structures in the skin and the slowing of healthy skin functions. Skin aging is influenced by both extrinsic and intrinsic factors. With time, skin becomes notably thinner with decrease in volume and elasticity. Its ability to synthesise collagen and elastin is reduced and cell turnover rate is slowed. Eventually, fine lines and wrinkles will form on our skin.

We would highly recommend that you have a consultation with one of our skin specialists; either Dr. Amanda Ong, or one of our nurses or dermal clinicians. During your consultation, we can assess your skin, work out a treatment plan that can help address your concerns at a pace and budget that suits you. Your treatment plan will be tailored to you as an individual as we all age differently.

Treatment plan tailored to the individual

We are all different so our needs may differ. In general, your treatment plan is likely include a series of sessions utilising a combination of treatment modalities. For example, you may be recommended to take a series of peels to address pigmentation before having treatments to address skin laxity.  All of this will be highly dependent on your goals and how your skin responds to the treatments. Your goal may even change as your skin improves!

While with some treatments, you may notice an improvement immediately post-treatment, there are no overnight fixes. Skin requires time and effort before significant improvements can be seen.
