Labioplasty

Labioplasty, or labia reduction is a procedure aimed at surgically reducing or reshaping the labia tissue of the vagina. The reason for this procedure may be aesthetic, or to reduce/eliminate discomfort. Some women may have excess labia tissue naturally, or can also occur from pregnancy.

Excess labia tissue can cause chafing and discomfort; occuring even from normal daily activities; such as walking or sitting. Thus labioplasty is often undertaken to improve quality of life.

Patients normally undergo labioplasty as a day procedure, and are discharged after the procedure. Post-op discomfort is minimal and patients can resume their normal activities after minimal recovery time.
